Mead Calendars: A Giveaway

by Fiddledeedee on November 20, 2008

Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m a sucker for calendars. I have one on the fridge, which is also known as “Command Central.” I also keep a calendar in my purse. I also have a homeschool calendar, a blog calendar, and possibly a couple more by my computer.

And btw, I do not get confused. Every one of them serve a purpose. Don’t try to understand me, just nod your head “yes” if you can relate.

Recently, Fiddledaddy tried to sell me on the merits of getting an iPhone. “You can get rid of all your calendars,” he reasoned.

I stared at him blankly. “Are you new?”

Get rid of my calendars. It will be a cold day in…Florida.

No, I like to see my calendar, feel it, and write in it. In the color of my choosing. I have little symbols in my calendar that only I know the meaning of. For example, I can tell at a glance when I need to stock up on the Motrin and chocolate. Just sayin’. The children see it and ask, “Mom, why is there a red skull and crossbones on this page?”

I also have a calendar on my computer that Fiddledaddy tries to get me to use. But, I got into an awful lot of trouble when I wrote on my computer screen.

Imagine my excitement when the Mead Company wanted to send me some calendars to peruse. My joy knew no bounds.

First of all, I love the Mead Company in its entirety. I use their products nearly every day of my life. Especially during the homeschool year. Which is, well golly, year round.

They sent me a Moms Organizer that has a Chore Chart and stickers, with a Storage Pocket and Planning Calendar.

AND, they have calendars geared especially for the kids. We have a Disney Princess calendar that have static cling paper dolls and clothes, plus activities.

The boy in the family isn’t left out, since he is set up with SpongeBob Squarepants and Thomas & Friends. These also have static cling characters, that can be set up in a different scene every month.

I’m totally impressed with how interactive the kid’s calendars are. And there are many more to chose from. What a great Christmas gift these would be.

And that is an excellent segue, to let you know that the Mead Company is offering a Calendar giveaway to one of my readers. They will send you a variety of their calendars. All you have to do, is go here, and then come back and let me know which one (or more) of the many calendars would most appeal to your youngster. Or you.

Happy scheduling!
